Actually, what the client/survivors need to do is "occupy our behavior." It's not just bodies, it's the social judgments and responsibilities related to our behavior being managed "for us."

We are not trained to listen to our bodies. When we begin to do so we find the subtle energy that we think may be one thing, is another. If we tune in to the vibration and sensation we begin to link all the systems. I teach this in session and then practice is essential. Meditate on the body and our connections to the mind. It takes incredible patience with ourselves as we do not even know how to listen to the container we walk around in! Instead, we shun our sensations and listen to external sources! It takes practice to tune in and hear. Our bodies are begging us to do so .. nervous energy?
