Subject: engaging structural violence

Date: Thursday, April 30, 2015 7:20 AM

The MHCA panel/forum "Social Justice and Dignity"  flyer here  is set for Tuesday May 5th 6:30PM (opens 6PM) in the Student Center community room SC-204.

In a related matter, yesterday the Associated Students Government approved our motion to endorse the June 24-28 U.S. Social Forum in San Jose.

Structural violence, today symbolized in protest by the uprising experience in Baltimore, MD, enters the SJCC campus and community in ways we have the social responsibility to engage.

The future of our educational process relates to the truth of how we engage structural violence in society and to the development of dialogue in a way that challenges trauma and embraces dignity.
