Social accountability has a relevant and appropriate reach, where institutional shift might assist the psychology community to "behave better" in engaging constructively our oppression and the denial system that has today limited behavioral remedy.
I'm working the San Francisco A.P.A. (Psychology) meeting in August, with psychologists who seek to upgrade the "social responsibility" there. Anyone who wants to collaborate personally, may write me off-line. And comments presented to the S-ACC list, would also be good.
I wrote Jan. 12 that
Under present social conditions, our movement is reaching the stage where we both need to and are becoming ready to make real change, so as to alter and upgrade the work at overcoming the dynamic of "behavioral oppression." When we constructed the movement, our activism came to take form that we then came to know as "protest" and (what some called) "take money from the system."
