Subject: Re: [Actmad] language - 'homeless'
'Displaced' seems like better language in terms of diplomacy, than 'homeless'. Today 'homeless' is manifestly a stereotype and does not respect the human being. In fighting Measure S, we had posters that read:
"I am a Berkeley merchant and I stand up for the right to sit down"

My reference was more all the lines of displaced Palestinians Ihg.
And I think that Hgf's "social justice" advocacy and Ihg's likewise use 'displaced' to challenge stereotyping.
