As a student of the Afro-American experience, I believe you are missing something here.  Barack Obama's (birth) father was a Luo (from Kenya).  In the history of Africa, the cultural dynamic was different than in the Indo-European situation.  In Africa there was the failure to unite across the continent and that devolved into the split between the Bantu and Nilotes.  Obama evidently derives his style of interaction he from his father, from the Nilotes who refused to be massacred in the service of "Bantu dominance."

Obama is proving to be a real wolf in sheep's clothing. And, we have little choice in November. I don't know how we can hold him accountable for being our President.

The key lines in this editorial,  out this afternoon, is this: "The rules [of Guantanamo] are unconstitutional because they deny detainees an essential right and meaningful court review. By giving such discretion to the Guantánamo commander, the Obama administration asserts virtually unbridled executive power. It has taken a regrettable step in undermining the rule of law."
