I liked your article. I gave a copy to a Palestinian friend who runs a coffee shop here in Berkeley.
My concern regards how one resists effectively. The parallel experience of anti-communism got grassroots resistance by a developing process that eventually included the civil rights movement, and also the "hippies."
For PsySR to be effective means more than legalizing the bylaws. The membership needs to blossom as a complex resistance process in the face of the "bad psychology" of the new U.S. President.
At the time of Martín-Baró we followed the rules and broke the critical resistance process; with the Gitmo-torture agends we have used an advocacy model that has marginalized the full role of oppression. We need to transcend the limited success of that approach, and engage the concern you raise in an effective manner.

I’m writing to share my new Counterpunch essay — “Resisting the Mind Games of Donald Trump and the One Percent.” It offers a psychology-focused perspective on the nature of Trump’s victory and the broader challenge in the weeks and months ahead. If you find the piece interesting, I’d appreciate your sharing it with your contacts and listservs.
