I met Dr. Pilisuk in 1968, when he was Adjunct Prof. Psychology at U.C. Berkeley. He said he saw that the way psychology works in a socially responsible sense, did not generally obtain, so he had "backed off" and aimed to "re-work" the process.
In a functional sense, he has a deep history of challenging the oppression dynamic that generally obtains and is not sufficiently noted (a.k.a. "denied"). We should stand proud for the award he received, and for much more that he has done.

Dr. Marc Pilisuk, co-founder, past president, and esteemed member of Psychologists for Social Responsibility, is recipient of the 2019 Lifetime Achievement award from the California Psychological Association
This award honors a professional whose contributions to psychology are exemplary and who has significantly advanced the field of psychology over a sustained period of time.
The award will be presented to Dr. Pilisuk at the association's spring meeting in April, in Long Beach, CA.
Please join me in congratulating Dr. Pilisuk.
