Upload Limitations
The ‘Save as Web Page’ option does not faithfully
render the Office 2003 documents, rather it has certain
deficiencies
NOTED:
It doesn’t preserve column format in HTML;
you can’t readily fix this
It may not render drop caps in HTML
format correctly; these should be checked, they can be
fixed sometimes rather easily
Sometimes multiple pages with images (such as graphs in
Excel 2003) can be set in overlapping fashion. This happens
in Netscape and is the result of “restraint
of trade” practices by Microsoft®. The
‘Save as Web Page’ files may perform well
ONLY in Internet Explorer
A similar ‘restraint of trade’ issue occurs
with the uploads from PowerPoint 2003
