It is easy to use image files on web pages and they serve to adorn the web pages

to use your own pictures

Photographs may be converted to image files using a scanner. The T-205 open lab has a scanner you can use. Ask the aide there to help you

  1. Image files may be found all over the web. Usually using a search engine will work very well and produce all kinds of possibilities.
  2. For instance if you want pictures of the Arabian desert, try Arabian desert photos. I tried this, and got references to pictures of horses. :-( Anyway if I refine this search, and use a good search engine, I can readily find appealing photos

  1. When you have found a photo
  2. Right click on it
  3. Click on ‘Save Image As’
  4. Put a: in the Save In dialogue box
  5. In the lower dialogue box you may use the given filename or you may change it to a more pleasing name
  6. The important thing is that the file needs to have a .jpg  or  .gif extension
  7. If you want to edit or ‘touch up’ an image, click on the image and this will call up the Microsoft Photo Editor®
  • Image files may be uploaded to your website using the same procedure as for other files
