GRASSROOTS STAKEHOLDER INPUT

The 2004 Mental Health Services Act “MHSA”
calls for “grassroots stakeholder input” —
and community colleges are a “stakeholder”

The Student Mental Health Initiative “SMHI”
is an initial approach to “strengthening student
mental health” under MHSA. This panel
presentation is to network and brainstorm regarding how community college
involvement in “student mental health” may be best envisioned.
Is the “tragedy at Virginia Tech” too narrow a focus?
